It has a 16-core Ryzen 9 8940HX processor. This special edition features a complete set of matching accessories. It has a design inspired by an original character. The character is called Mo-Loong-Gi. The acronym MLG stands for that character. MSI created it, not for Major League Gaming. The laptop also has a 16-inch QHD+ display. It offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution. It has a 240Hz refresh rate. It has 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. This ensures vibrant visuals for gamers and creators.
To manage the heat from powerful components, the Crosshair A16 HX MLG Edition uses a cooling system. It has two fans, five heat pipes, and four exhaust vents. This system allows the CPU and GPU to draw up to 190W of power. They can do this at the same time. It ensures stable performance during intense gaming sessions. MSI has not provided specific RAM and storage configurations. It mentions the laptop can support up to 96GB of DDR5 memory. It offers both PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 storage support. For connectivity, it includes HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 6E, and USB-C ports. These ports have DisplayPort output and Power Delivery capabilities. This makes it versatile for multimedia and peripheral use.
The special-edition package also includes a matching mouse, headset, and an extended mouse pad, creating a cohesive look for the setup. A limited character figure and special packaging will be available in select markets while supplies last, adding to the collectible and exclusive nature of the MLG Edition. In the US, the pricing for this model has not yet been announced. However, a similar model with an 8GB RTX 5070 was listed on Amazon for around $2,700. Given the white finish, 12GB GPU, and additional exclusive items, the MLG Edition is expected to be more expensive. The unique combination of the Ryzen 9 CPU and 12GB GPU is not currently available in the US-bound models, which split those components into separate configurations.
