A user sharing under the handle @sameera_s_w on Telegram released screenshots confirming the new watch's presence at the top of the device options list. By selecting it, users are guided through a setup page that includes instructions to connect the device with the Google Health platform.
Reusing old visuals for a new watch
Although the name has changed to Pixel Watch 5, the visual assets and graphics used in the app look exactly like those from the earlier Pixel Watch 4. This suggests that Google might be using the older model's images as placeholders, as both versions are expected to share a similar appearance.
The setup instructions remain unchanged, providing no insight into potential hardware or software upgrades. At this point, the app shows no evidence of new features or performance improvements linked to the new wearable.
A full unveiling in early August
Google is set to launch the Pixel Watch 5 during its scheduled hardware event on August 12, where it will be introduced alongside the Pixel 11 lineup. The smartwatch is expected to come in two sizes — 41mm and 45mm — with both models offering Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity options.
Earlier leaks and a listing from the Google Play Console suggest the Pixel Watch 5 could include an upgraded 3GB of RAM compared to the previous 2GB, while the CPU and GPU architecture seems to remain consistent with recent versions of the wearable.
