Ulster Rugby has unveiled a new Home Kit for the 2026/27 season, designed to celebrate the unique identity of the province. The jersey reflects the shared pride and passion of the rugby community across the nine counties. The kit is a tribute to the people who make up Ulster Rugby, from grassroots clubs and schools to the fans who fill Affidea Stadium and support the team on all fronts. This design captures what connects people throughout the province, uniting them in a common identity and love for the game.

A Map Woven into the Fabric

At the center of the design is a subtle map of Ulster, symbolizing the connection between the county communities. This intricate feature highlights the nine counties that make up the province, serving as a visual reminder of the rugby community’s heart and soul. The map is woven into the fabric and showcases the deep roots and shared history that bind Ulster together. It is a celebration of the geographical and cultural diversity that contributes to the strength and unity of the rugby community.

Symbolism in Stitching

Red stitching runs throughout the jersey, representing the bonds that rugby creates. This includes links between players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters. The design emphasizes the role rugby plays in bringing people together. The red thread symbolizes the connections that transcend club, school, community, and even generations. It stands for the shared passion, dedication, and camaraderie that define the Ulster Rugby experience. Every stitch is a reminder of how rugby unites people both on and off the pitch, fostering a deep sense of belonging.

Returning Iconic Features

The iconic collar returns to the jersey for the new season. This design merges a classic Ulster Rugby look with a modern performance fit. The collar honors the club's heritage while embracing innovation for the future. It pays tribute to some of the most memorable jerseys in the club's history, blending tradition with forward-thinking design. This feature not only gives the jersey a nod to the past but also ensures it meets the demands of modern rugby, looking confidently towards the next chapter in the team’s journey.

The new jersey will be first worn by the Ulster Women's Senior Team when they face Connacht in an Interprovincial Championship match on Saturday. The game kicks off at 4.15pm at Affidea Stadium. This match marks the debut of the 2026/27 Home Kit and will see the Women’s team representing the province in the new design. Both the Men's and Women's Senior Teams will wear the jersey throughout the season, showcasing it in all their home fixtures.
