The essentials

Amida Technology Solutions launched Tessarix, a cloud-based Medicaid data platform built specifically for state health agencies. It consolidates data from Medicaid, Medicare, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and waiver programs into a single environment powered by artificial intelligence. The platform is designed to address delays and inefficiencies that plague state Medicaid programs.

How Tessarix streamlines data

State Medicaid offices often operate with ten or more disconnected systems, and many critical decisions rely on delayed data. Tessarix unites these systems using Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, and other tools. It features over 175 dashboards and AI tools for natural language queries and automated data processing. Analysts can build the core data lakehouse in under seven months and reduce total cost by half.

Manual processes, like data entry and report generation, already cost state agencies between $3 million and $5 million each year. With Tessarix, Medicaid directors and program leaders gain faster access to real-time data, enabling quicker decisions about care quality, compliance, and budget use.

The platform's design and goals

Tessarix was built by engineers and former state Medicaid officials who had firsthand experience with the system's inefficiencies. Mukundan Srinivasan, Amida’s CEO, said the platform was created based on the tools they wished they had in government. The system is 'compliance-ready' and AI-driven from the start, offering visibility into member populations and program performance.

Anand Swamy, vice president of delivery, stressed that Medicaid data should be treated as a strategic asset rather than a burden. Tessarix allows states to better understand their resources and outcomes, aiding in evidence-based engagement with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Next steps and early reactions

The platform is generally available now and has already been demonstrated to multiple state Medicaid agencies. Amida, a company specializing in data interoperability and security, is known for delivering advanced analytics and cybersecurity solutions. Tessarix joins Amida’s broader product suite and is part of a growing push to modernize government data systems.

“We built the platform we wish we had when our team worked in state government.”
The flow map

Amida's Tessarix targets the $3–5 million annual productivity loss from manual Medicaid workflows, aiming to redirect that cost into faster insights and smarter spending.
