Beadles on Pearce
Falcons president and CEO Greg Beadles updated on Pearce during Wednesday’s practice. Speaking to Falcons reporter Kelly Price, he said: “James has been doing really well, everything that we want him to do on and off of the field, so that's been great.” While analysts speculate an eight-game suspension, nothing is official. Beadles said, “we do expect sometime in the next several days that we'll hear from the league.”

Pearce led the team with 10.5 sacks last season, a rookie NFL record. With him and Walker driving the defense to a franchise-record 57 sacks in 2025, their loss would cripple Atlanta’s pass rush. The Falcons are now scouting free-agent options. Names like Joey Bosa, Leonard Floyd, and Yetur Gross-Matos are being considered to fill the void.
