The essentials
  • Ничто не ставит целью выпустить вдвое больше телефонов в 2027 году, чем в 2026 году.
  • В этом году компания уже выпустила три телефона, включая Phone 4a и Phone 4a Pro.
  • Ничто по-прежнему не сосредоточено на рынке США, особенно в отношении аудиопродукции.

Remember that sleek, transparent device that looks like a piece of art with a touchscreen and makes you question reality? That’s the brainchild of Nothing. Recently, the company’s co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, revealed some bold moves in an interview. Nothing is preparing to bring even more of these eye-catching phones to the market in the coming year.

A surge in 2027

According to the interview with Times Now Tech, Nothing is aiming to nearly double its smartphone offerings in 2027 compared to 2026. The target is six new devices next year. In 2026, the company launched three models: the standard Phone 4a, the upgraded Phone 4a Pro, and the Phone 4b. There was no new flagship among them – the company kept the Phone 3 as its flagship model for another year. Carl Pei explained that Nothing does not want to release flagship smartphones simply for the sake of an annual update. According to him, each new generation must offer sufficiently noticeable changes.

The goal is to give consumers a more varied selection of smartphones. Starting with the original Phone 1, the company has since rolled out several other models, each building on the previous one. Now, they’re planning a major expansion.

Challenges on the horizon

However, the road to these new launches may be rocky. A previously announced product, the CMF Phone 3 Pro, was pulled from the lineup due to a sharp rise in memory prices. Despite this, Nothing remains watchful, waiting to see if conditions improve enough to bring the CMF line back. Evangelidis mentioned the company is exploring different strategies to make this happen, but for now, the focus remains on the evolving memory market.

Complicating matters further, a recent report claimed that Nothing is shifting its focus toward AI with products such as smartwatches, earbuds, and other audio devices. However, Evangelidis only stated that the company now has separate business units for audio and AI-native products, leaving the door open for such developments without committing to a full pivot.

Expanding into the US

The US remains a key market for Nothing, especially in the audio space. Evangelidis reiterated the company’s commitment to capturing a share of the headphones and earbuds sector in the region. While the executive didn’t confirm the types of products coming next quarter, he did say more devices are in the pipeline, though details remain under wraps.

Nothing has been gaining attention in the tech industry, despite being a newcomer. By offering distinctive, futuristic designs, the brand has created a strong presence. As it looks ahead to 2027, the company appears ready to step up its game, even while other tech firms face challenges like the RAM crisis.

At the same time, the company will be expanding its ecosystem with new earphones, a smartwatch and smart glasses featuring artificial intelligence. The names, specifications, price ranges and release schedule for the upcoming smartphones have not yet been disclosed. It is also unclear whether the six models include devices from the CMF brand. Nothing's plans are not limited to smartphones. The company is already preparing its first smartwatch under its main brand, whilst previous models were released as the CMF Watch. According to insider Yogesh Brar, the device could be unveiled in September at a price of less than $300. The manufacturer is also expanding its audio range. The CMF brand has already unveiled the Clip Pro – its first open-ear clip-on earphones, which attach to the ear without blocking the ear canal. In 2027, Nothing plans to release other audio devices, but no details are available yet. Another addition to the ecosystem will be smart glasses, which Nothing plans to unveil in the first half of 2027. They will feature cameras, microphones, speakers and artificial intelligence support, with the main processing carried out by a connected smartphone or cloud services.

“We’ll share more details closer to launch, but the idea is to have a wider range of smartphones.”
