Grain futures remain mixed

December corn futures fell by one cent at 6:00 a.m. CT. November soybean prices increased by half a cent. December soybean meal dropped $1.70, while December bean oil rose 23 points.

Wheat markets showed minor movements with December SRW up 4.75 cents. HRW wheat remained steady. According to GN auto markets/energy: crude oil prices, the broader agricultural sector is currently consolidating at elevated levels.

Weather threatens U.S. harvest

The National Weather Service forecasts widespread showers and thunderstorms in the U.S. heartland. Flash flooding is a risk for parts of the central Plains. These conditions could impact crop development during a critical growth stage.

Dangerously hot weather persists in the mid and lower Mississippi Valley. Highs are expected to reach the 90s and low 100s Fahrenheit. This heat may set new daily temperature records this week.
