MCX Gold Futures Hit Rs 1,54,290

Gold futures rose 0.86 percent on the MCX, closing at Rs 1,54,290 per 10 grams. Silver prices gained 1.25 percent to Rs 2,41,183 per kg.

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange closed Friday at Rs 1,54,290 per 10 grams. The price increased by Rs 1,309, representing a 0.86 percent gain. This movement occurred in the October delivery contract. The session recorded a business turnover of 2,156 lots.

Analysts attribute the price rise to fresh positions built by market participants. Spot demand remained firm during the trading session. International markets reflected similar strength. Gold futures in New York rose 1.16 percent to USD 4,392.24 per ounce.

Silver Futures Rise

Silver prices on the MCX advanced Rs 2,978. The December delivery contract closed at Rs 2,41,183 per kg. This represents a 1.25 percent increase. Trading volume for the silver contract reached 3,082 lots.

The gain in silver was supported by a firm global trend. Overseas markets showed stronger momentum. Silver futures rose 2.39 percent to USD 66.78 per ounce. Speculators maintained active participation in the domestic market.

Global Commodity Trends Align

Data from GN auto markets/commodities: gold prices confirms the upward trajectory. Domestic and international prices moved in the same direction. The gold contract gained nearly one percent. The silver contract gained more than two percent.

Traders built new positions during the session. This activity contributed to the volume on the exchange. The October gold contract and December silver contract both saw positive price action. The market closed with higher valuations for both precious metals.
