Bitcoin Hits $81K as ETF Inflows Surge

Bitcoin recovers to $81,015 following a $603 million liquidation event. Institutional inflows reach $591 million in two days, setting the stage for a potential move to $115,751.
Bitcoin reached $81,015, marking a 5 percent gain from the mid-$77,000 range. This move followed the liquidation of $603 million in crypto positions. The price action occurs as U.S. regulatory frameworks advance and ETF demand strengthens.
Traders closed $603.39 million in short positions during the rally. Approximately 119,948 accounts were liquidated in the process. The immediate technical target remains a breakout above the $82,917 resistance level.
Oil Easing Reduces Macro Pressure
Crude oil prices fell below $100 per barrel. Saudi Arabia secured alternative supply routes through Oman. This development eased fears of major supply disruptions in the Red Sea.
Oil had previously climbed to $108, a four-month high. Reports of suspended shipments from Yanbu drove that increase. The subsequent stabilization supports risk-on sentiment in digital assets.
Regulatory Actions Support Market Confidence
The CFTC submitted new rules to the White House for review. The proposal covers the regulation of crypto asset transactions and markets. This move signals a structured approach to digital asset oversight.
The SEC granted a five-year exemption for tokenized stock trading. This allows regulators to test blockchain-based systems. These steps follow the Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act.
Institutional Demand Drives Price Action
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $591 million in net inflows over two days. Fidelity's FBTC led the group with $311 million in daily inflows. BlackRock's IBIT added $108 million to its holdings.
This institutional buying pressure supports the current rally. If Bitcoin holds above $82,917, analysts project a move to $99,000. A subsequent pullback to $91,000 could precede a final push toward $115,751.
