Hanwha Finance secured two major partnerships in Abu Dhabi to expand its digital asset operations. The deals were signed at the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum Seoul on September 16. This move strengthens the financial bridge between Korea and the Middle East.
The group aims to build a digital asset ecosystem through these agreements. Hanwha Life will focus on tokenizing real-world assets. Hanwha Asset Management will target stablecoin infrastructure and cross-border payment solutions.
Digital Asset Partnerships Formalized
Hanwha Life signed an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. This partnership covers digital banking and financial innovation. The parties will explore tokenization of real-world assets together.
Hanwha Asset Management also signed a memorandum with ADGM. Hana Financial Group joined this specific agreement. The group will develop cross-border payment and remittance solutions.
Expanding Middle East Financial Network
The group also became a partner for Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026. This event takes place in December in the UAE capital. It follows their initial network building during the 2025 edition.
Abu Dhabi officials view Korea as a key partner for financial technology. They highlighted the strong capabilities of Korean firms in innovation. These ties support the broader economic relationship between the UAE and Korea.
