NFT Sales Hit $46.8M as Bitcoin Volume Surges

NFT sales reached $46.78 million, up 6.8% week-over-week. Bitcoin-driven trades fueled the growth despite a sharp drop in active buyer addresses.

NFT sales reached $46.78 million over the seven days ending September 12. This represents a 6.8% increase from the previous period. The data comes from CryptoSlam, as reported by GN markets/crypto. Total transaction volume rose 48.75% to 917,549 records.

Buyer addresses fell 84.67% to 41,959. Seller addresses declined 85.13% to 43,247. Fewer unique wallets participated in the market. However, the dollar value of those transactions increased significantly.

Bitcoin Outperforms Ethereum in Sales

Ethereum remained the largest chain with $16.83 million in sales. This figure dropped 6.36% from the prior week. Bitcoin ranked second with $9.44 million in sales. Bitcoin volume climbed 50.12% over the period.

High-value BRC-20 trades drove the Bitcoin increase. A small number of large transactions accounted for much of the activity. Ethereum recorded 8,271 buyer addresses, down 79.37%. Bitcoin saw 2,255 buyer addresses, down 82.79%.

Polygon Leads Collection Rankings

Courtyard topped weekly collection sales with $6.67 million. This represents an 8.46% rise on the Polygon network. The collection recorded 104,404 transactions. Buyer addresses for Courtyard fell 14.60% to 16,253.

Argonauts ranked second with $4.36 million in sales on Ethereum. This was a 109.04% increase from the previous week. The $X@AI BRC-20 collection placed third with $2.90 million. This collection saw a 217.88% surge in sales value.

Address Counts Show Market Concentration

The top six networks accounted for $42.78 million of total sales. BNB Chain ranked fourth at $4.02 million, up 25.99%. Base followed at $2.48 million, down 35.34%. Solana recorded $2.30 million in sales, up 32.91%.

Buyer address counts fell across all leading chains. BNB Chain saw a 90% decline in addresses. Base experienced an 86.97% drop. The data indicates concentrated activity among fewer participants.
