Institutional clients gain access to STS Digital’s broad options liquidity via the Talos platform starting August 2026.

Key points

  • Talos added STS Digital to its network on 5 August 2026, providing access to options on over 400 tokens.
  • STS Digital holds a Full F Licence from the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the highest tier under the 2018 Act.
  • The firm raised USD 30 million in 2026, led by CMT Digital, to support its institutional distribution strategy.

Talos added STS Digital to its Provider Network on 5 August 2026. This move grants institutional clients direct access to options and spot liquidity. The integration connects STS Digital’s principal trading book to existing Talos workflows.

The partnership covers vanilla and exotic options across more than 400 tokens. It includes altcoin options that the firm describes as unusually broad. Execution occurs through request-for-quote and electronic workflows within the platform.

Regulatory Standing and Licensing

STS Digital holds a Full F Licence from the Bermuda Monetary Authority. This is the highest authorisation tier under the Digital Asset Business Act 2018. The regulator maintains active membership in the FSB, IAIS, and OECD.

Bermuda holds Solvency II equivalence with the European Union. This status provides international regulatory standing for institutional counterparties. The principal trading model carries different counterparty risk characteristics than venue-based arrangements.

Institutional buyers must weigh the BMA licence against their own jurisdictional requirements. Crypto derivatives remain outside the MiCA perimeter in the EU for most product types. The FCA has not yet extended its regime to comprehensive derivatives dealing.

Market Context and Expansion

Multi-dealer connectivity platforms are becoming a primary distribution channel for OTC liquidity. Talos competes in a segment of institutional-grade aggregation and order management. Its network allows providers to reach institutional order flow without bilateral integrations.

STS Digital closed a USD 30 million strategic funding round earlier in 2026. CMT Digital led the round with participation from Kraken’s parent Payward. Other investors include Arrington Capital, Strobe Ventures, F-Prime, and BitRock Capital.

The firm launched a structured products platform in partnership with Kraken in March 2026. The Talos partnership serves as a distribution move following this expansion. It positions the firm within a broader structural shift in institutional digital asset markets.

Operational Execution Details

Clients access STS Digital pricing through integrated electronic workflows. Spot liquidity is sourced directly from STS Digital’s principal book. Talos does not pre-negotiate arrangements on behalf of its clients.
