Hyperliquid spot ETFs recorded $5.29 million in net outflows on September 9. Simultaneously, two large investors added $35.91 million in HYPE tokens to their portfolios.

Hyperliquid spot ETFs recorded $5.29 million in net outflows on September 9. This follows $12.96 million in withdrawals on September 8. The combined two-day exodus totals approximately $18.25 million. HYPE token price fell 6.4% to trade near $80.83. The asset remains up 45.7% over the last 30 days.

Despite fund redemptions, whale activity accelerated. Address 0x8e48 purchased 116,427 HYPE tokens worth $9.91 million. A separate address, 0x6436, bought 308,569 HYPE for $26 million. These purchases add $35.91 million in new exposure. Both investors staked their full holdings.

ETF Flows Reverse After Inflows

The September 9 outflow of $5.29 million reversed prior gains. Daily trading volume reached $31.01 million. Total ETF assets stood at $464.29 million. Cumulative net inflows remained at $338.33 million. The previous session showed $10.52 million in inflows.

Data from GN markets/crypto (en-US) highlights the divergence. Retail funds exited while institutional wallets accumulated. This pattern suggests confidence in long-term value. The $12.96 million withdrawal on September 8 was the largest in the dataset. The market absorbed this selling pressure without breaking key support.

Leveraged Positions Show Strong Gains

Tracked trader NMTD8 holds a $16.46 million long position. This trade uses 10x leverage with a $62.52 entry price. HYPE price advanced to $83.13. The position now shows a $4.09 million unrealized gain. The total account value is $11.34 million.

Whale address 0x8e48 holds 1.89 million HYPE tokens. This accumulation spans eight months and values at $159 million. Address 0x6436 now controls 4.05 million tokens. Their combined holdings represent significant market depth. Staking these assets locks supply away from the open market.

Technical Resistance Holds at $86

Analyst George identifies the $86 to $87 range as resistance. HYPE price failed to hold above this level. The current trading level sits near $84. A next downside target appears below $81. Broader support exists between $77 and $78.

A move above $86.80 would invalidate the bearish view. Price approaching $89 would challenge higher resistance. George has taken profit on half his position. The remaining exposure is structured as a risk-free setup. Traders watch the $80 level for immediate direction.
