Florida Gas Hits $4.13 as Crude Tops $100

Florida drivers face a $4.13 average gas price. Crude oil surged past $100 per barrel in two weeks.
The average cost of a gallon of regular gasoline in Florida reached $4.13 on Monday. This marks the first time the state average has exceeded four dollars since June 1. The national average stands higher at $4.31 per gallon.
Local prices in the Daytona Beach area exceed the state average. Flagler County reports an average of $4.19. Volusia County lists an average of $4.16. These figures come from data released by AAA.
Local Prices Surpass State Averages
Flagler County drivers pay the highest average rates in the region. The $4.19 figure reflects a sharp increase over recent weeks. Volusia County follows closely behind at $4.16 per gallon. Both counties remain above the $4.13 state benchmark.
Shoppers can find slightly lower prices at specific retailers. BJ’s Wholesale Club in Port Orange listed gas at $3.96 on Sunday. Costco in Daytona Beach reported a price of $3.99 on Monday. Buc-ee’s on LPGA Blvd also listed fuel at $3.99.
Crude Oil Drives Price Surge
Crude oil prices rose nearly 20 percent over the last two weeks. The commodity price moved back above the $100 per barrel threshold. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East contributed to this spike. AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins cited these tensions as a primary driver.
Florida’s average gas price climbed more than 20 cents in two weeks. Prices are currently more than one dollar higher than a year ago. Jenkins warned that sustained high oil prices will keep pressure on pump costs. Drivers should expect further increases if crude remains elevated.
GN Data Tracks Market Shifts
The GN auto markets and energy report tracks these gasoline price movements. The data highlights the correlation between global oil markets and local fuel costs.
