Dillard's Moves Primary Listing to Texas Stock Exchange

Dillard's transfers its primary stock listing from the NYSE to the Texas Stock Exchange, effective October 2026.
Dillard's, Inc. is moving its primary stock listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the Texas Stock Exchange. The company announced the voluntary transfer on Friday.
The move affects Class A Common Stock and Capital Securities. Trading on the NYSE ends at market close on October 2, 2026. Trading on the TXSE begins at market open on October 5, 2026. Shareholders do not need to take any action.
End of a 40-year NYSE era
Dillard's had been listed on the NYSE for nearly four decades. James H Lee, Chairman and CEO of the TXSE, stated the decision followed nearly a year of due diligence. He said Dillard's chose to position itself for the next forty years with an exchange focused on issuer alignment.
Deep roots in the Texas market
The retailer was founded in 1938 in Nashville, Arkansas, with an $8,000 investment. It now operates 272 stores and 28 clearance centers across 30 states. Texas is the company's largest market, hosting 54 locations including stores in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Frisco.
Texas exchange activity accelerates
This announcement follows the TXSE securing its first primary listings earlier this week. Dallas-based Texas Capital moved two funds to the TXSE from NYSE Arca. The funds are the Texas Equity Index ETF and the Texas Oil Index ETF. Dallas now hosts three major exchanges: TXSE, NYSE Texas, and Nasdaq Texas.
