Dollar to Reach 45.10 Hryvnias at Weekend Exchange Offices

The dollar may hit 45.10 UAH in exchange offices on September 19-20. The National Bank is selling over $1 billion weekly to stabilize the market.
The dollar may be sold for up to 45.10 Ukrainian hryvnias at exchange offices on September 19 and 20. This represents the upper limit of the expected selling price for cash currency. The euro is forecast to reach a maximum of 52.10 hryvnias in the same period. These figures reflect high demand for foreign currency as the market heads into the weekend.
The National Bank of Ukraine is actively intervening to curb volatility. The regulator has been selling more than one billion dollars on the interbank market each week. This action compensates for a shortage of currency supply. It also prevents sharp fluctuations in the value of the hryvnia.
Current Rates at Banks and Offices
As of the morning of September 19, the average buying rate for the dollar at exchange offices is 44.75 hryvnias. The average selling rate stands at 44.86 hryvnias. Banks buy the US currency at an average of 44.45 hryvnias. They sell it for approximately 44.96 hryvnias.
The official exchange rate set by the National Bank is 44.6648 hryvnias. The interbank market closed its last trading session before the weekend between 44.68 and 44.71 hryvnias per dollar. These figures provide a baseline for the weekend pricing expectations.
Weekend Price Ranges for Euro and Dollar
Analysts expect most open exchange offices to buy dollars for 44.40 to 44.70 hryvnias. The selling price for the dollar is projected to range from 44.80 to 45.10 hryvnias. The euro shows a wider spread in the forecasts.
Exchange offices may buy the euro for 51.30 to 51.65 hryvnias. The selling price for the euro is expected to be between 51.70 and 52.10 hryvnias. These ranges apply to financial companies and bank branches that remain open during the weekend.
National Bank Interventions and Global Risks
The National Bank increased its selling operations in late August and early September. In some weeks, the regulator sold between 1.1 and 1.33 billion dollars. This consistent support helps stabilize the local currency market.
Global factors such as high oil prices and US Federal Reserve policy add risk. Despite these external pressures, a sharp jump in the dollar is not forecast. The 45.10 hryvnia mark is seen as a cash selling price at specific offices. It is not expected to become the new official or average market rate. According to GN auto markets/forex: exchange rate data, the situation remains stable.
