- Josh Simmons did not practice on Wednesday but is reportedly improving.
- Patrick Mahomes and Rashee Rice were full participants in the Wednesday session.
Mansoor Delane returned to full participation for the Kansas City Chiefs' first practice of Week 3. The rookie cornerback stands ready for the upcoming matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Delane missed Sunday’s victory over the Colts despite being active for an emergency situation. He aggravated a shoulder injury while intercepting Bo Nix in Week 1. His status fluctuated last week, dropping to limited on Friday after full sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.
Reid reports Simmons is improving
Left tackle Josh Simmons did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Head coach Andy Reid told reporters that the veteran is getting better. Simmons is dealing with a back issue, a common ailment for linemen.
The injury report lists several other players as limited. Chris Jones, Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Chamarri Conner, and L’Jarius Sneed all worked out in a limited capacity. Jones manages a calf strain, while Anudike-Uzomah deals with a quad issue.
Key starters join full group
A deep roster of players practiced at full capacity on Wednesday. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has a knee injury, was among them. Rashee Rice, Jeffrey Bassa, and Jadon Canady also participated fully.
Other full participants include Jack Cochrane, Jaden Hicks, and Mansoor Delane. This list confirms the team’s depth as they prepare for the Dolphins. The Chiefs aim to keep their core healthy and engaged.
