Nobility Homes reported Q3 2026 sales of $12.1M, with net income up to $1.9M despite a shift in sales mix and ongoing supply chain pressures.

Nobility Homes, Inc. reported third-quarter 2026 sales of $12.1 million, a marginal increase from $12.0 million in the same period last year. Net income after taxes rose to $1.9 million, up from $1.8 million, while earnings per share climbed to $0.60 from $0.56. The company maintained a debt-free balance sheet with $25.8 million in cash and short-term investments, supporting a current ratio of 7.4:1.

For the first nine months of fiscal 2026, total sales declined to $35.1 million from $39.0 million in the prior year. Net income for the nine-month period was $5.3 million, down from $6.1 million, with earnings per share at $1.66 compared to $1.87 in the same period of 2025. This contraction reflects a shift in sales composition and margin pressures within the manufactured housing sector.

Sales Mix Shifts Toward Lower Margin Channels

The decrease in nine-month sales was driven by a drop in direct retail home sales at company-owned centers, which fell to 137 units from 195 units in the prior year. This decline was partially offset by a significant increase in sales to independent dealers, which rose to 184 units from 129 units. Management noted that dealer sales carry lower margins than retail sales, contributing to the compression in operating income, which fell to $6.0 million for the nine months from $7.2 million.

Interest Rates and Supply Constraints Drive Demand

President Terry Trexler attributed the sales volume decline to customers delaying purchases or opting for lower-cost homes in response to higher interest rates and economic uncertainty. The company also cited ongoing delays in receiving key production materials, supplier backorders, price increases, and labor shortages at its manufacturing facility. These factors, combined with inflation in building products, continue to impact material costs and completion timelines.

Florida Industry Shipments Grow Amidst Headwinds

Despite company-specific challenges, the Florida Manufactured Housing Association reported that industry shipments from November 2025 through July 2026 increased by approximately 6% compared to the same period last year. Nobility Homes, which celebrated its 59th year in business in June 2026, remains vertically integrated with retail centers and an insurance subsidiary. The company maintains stockholders' equity of $58.4 million and a book value per share of $18.52, positioning it for long-term growth in the affordable housing sector.
