Kolibri Global Energy reported its highest quarterly revenue and adjusted EBITDA in company history, driven by a significant surge in average production volumes.

Kolibri Global Energy (TSX:KEI) reported second-quarter 2026 results that marked the highest quarterly revenue, production volume, and adjusted EBITDA in the company’s history. Revenue reached $22.5 million, representing a 109% increase over the same period last year. This financial performance was underpinned by a 46% rise in average production to 4,690 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The operational expansion translated directly into a net income of $8.5 million and basic earnings per share of $0.24, which was nearly a 200% increase from the prior year, as reported in the earnings transcript provided by Benzinga.

The company also strengthened its financial position by increasing its borrowing base by 15% to $75 million. Management stated that this expansion provides greater financial flexibility for future operations. While the current quarter focused on historical performance, the company outlined specific strategic initiatives to sustain this growth trajectory into the latter half of the year.

Strategic focus on False Caney formation

Kolibri is strategically prioritizing the False Caney formation to unlock new reserve potential. The company began this initiative with the Lavina 8-5-1HF well, which has yielded promising oil saturation data. Management described these results as indicative of significant untapped reserves, positioning the formation as a key driver for long-term production growth. This technical validation is central to the company’s capital allocation strategy for the coming months.

Forward production growth expectations

Looking ahead, management expressed confidence in continued production increases, citing four new wells expected to begin contributing to output in the fourth quarter. These additions are projected to add meaningful volume to the production base, building on the strong second-quarter foundation. The company remains cautiously optimistic about the broader outcomes of the False Caney testing, viewing it as a catalyst for future reserve expansion.
