New England gas prices hit record discount to Henry Hub

New England gas prices have hit record discounts to Henry Hub, driven by low-cost Appalachian supply and a 2.5x increase in Canadian imports, which coincided with a 5% drop in regional consumption as renewable energy generation surged.
New data from GN auto stocks/energy-stocks reveals that record Canadian imports, averaging 0.4 Bcf/d, have more than doubled compared to last year, while regional consumption has dropped 5% due to a 59% surge in wind generation.
