Royale Energy Drives Permian Expansion With 10th Well and 70-Plus Targets

Royale Energy reports nine producing wells in the Permian basin, with the tenth currently completing and a long-term target of over 70 development locations across Barnett and Woodford intervals.
Royale Energy has brought its ninth well in the Permian basin online in Ector County, Texas, marking a steady progression in its development program. The company holds a 7.5% working interest in approximately 16,600 gross acres, with the latest well commencing production in May 2026 at an initial rate of 1,031 barrels of oil per day and 1.915 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Royale’s attributable share, including direct working-interest investors, stands at 77 barrels of oil per day and 144 thousand cubic feet of gas per day.
The tenth well in the sequence is currently undergoing hydraulic fracturing and completion, with flowback anticipated within 30 days. According to GN auto stocks/energy-stocks: drilling activity reports, all nine producing wells are performing at or above the company’s three-mile lateral type curve, which estimates ultimate recovery of approximately 113 barrels of oil equivalent per lateral foot with an 80% oil weighting. This performance validates the current development strategy for the Barnett interval.
Undeveloped Locations Drive Long-Term Plan
Royale identifies 30 to 39 additional undeveloped Barnett locations across roughly 12,940 gross undeveloped acres, contingent on lateral length. The company has also pinpointed more than 40 potential locations targeting the Woodford interval, bringing the total identified opportunities to over 70. Drilling activity is expected to continue through 2026, with further wells planned for 2027 as the company expands its footprint in the basin.
Odom Field Expansion Planned
Beyond the core Barnett acreage, Royale plans to drill a horizontal Odom well in the Jameson North field during the first half of 2027. The company holds a 100% working interest in approximately 7,465 net acres in this eastern flank location. Utilizing 3D seismic data, Royale has identified more than five additional Odom horizontal prospects, diversifying its development pipeline beyond the primary Barnett targets.
