Antin Infrastructure Partners Reports H1 2026 Revenue Decline Amid Exit Activity

Antin Infrastructure Partners reported a 4.5% drop in underlying revenue for the first half of 2026, driven by the transition between fundraising cycles. The firm expects full-year EBITDA to remain slightly below 2025 levels due to delayed fund activation.
Antin Infrastructure Partners (STU:8ZU) recorded underlying revenue of EUR138.5 million in the first half of 2026, a 4.5% decrease year-on-year. This decline reflects the step-down of Mid-Cap 1 and the transition period between fundraising cycles. Consequently, EBITDA fell 12.3% to EUR69.9 million. The company now projects that full-year 2026 underlying EBITDA will be slightly below 2025 levels because the activation of Mid-Cap 2 has been pushed to the fourth quarter of 2026.
Despite the revenue contraction, the firm maintained a 50% EBITDA margin, which is entirely fee-related. This metric highlights the resilience of its capital-light business model. The company also signed two major exit transactions, SolTrans and EDEX, over the summer. These deals are expected to return approximately EUR2.1 billion to fund investors. According to GN markets/earnings (en-US), these strategic exits signal a resumption of capital recycling activity after a period of slower pace.
Fund Performance and Fee Generation
The three main funds delivered internal rates of return at or above 15% over the last 12 months. Flagship 4 achieved an IRR of 14.5%, while Mid-Cap 1 reached 19.6% and Flagship 5 hit 16.3%. Mid-Cap 1 is now fully committed, which enables the launch of fundraising for Mid-Cap 2. Commitments are already being gathered from limited partners, although the formal activation remains scheduled for late 2026. This timing creates a temporary gap in fee generation that impacts current period earnings.
Investment income was negatively impacted by lower valuations in Funds 3 and 3B. These 2016 and 2017 vintage funds are experiencing slower exit paces than initially anticipated. The delay in crystallizing carried interest affects the final fund outcomes. However, the firm notes that the strong performance of more recent funds supports confidence in future fundraising for Fund 6, despite the current challenges in the older portfolios.
Balance Sheet and Capital Allocation
The company maintains a strong balance sheet with zero financial debt. This capital-light structure supports co-investments and ensures alignment with client interests. Antin Infrastructure Partners remains committed to its dividend policy, with an implied yield of around 8%. Management expects dividend growth to resume as new funds ramp up operations. The lack of leverage provides stability during periods of market volatility and supports the firm’s ability to deploy capital efficiently.
The platform continues to expand its global footprint to support future fundraising efforts. Recent moves include opening a Melbourne office and making senior hires. These structural enhancements aim to strengthen the firm’s presence in key markets. The expansion is intended to facilitate access to new limited partners and improve execution capabilities for upcoming fund launches.
Valuation Adjustments and Market Conditions
Higher interest rates are impacting valuations for prospective investments. The firm adjusts its cost of debt for new financing and updates risk-adjusted return assessments. However, it does not mark entire portfolios to current peak rates, noting that existing debt structures have different schedules. This approach prevents an immediate write-down of existing assets while acknowledging the tighter financing conditions in the broader market.
The lockup period for shares expires in September 2026. This event could lead to an increase in free float and potential share overhang. The company expects gradual placements to manage the transition. Investors should monitor the impact of this increased liquidity on share price stability. The firm emphasizes that its strong DPI position, returning more capital to LPs than most peers, remains a key factor in maintaining investor confidence.
