- The combined entity will hold approximately $3.3 billion in total assets and $1.23 billion in total deposits.
- Bank7 retains the Century Bank brand and gains entry into the New Mexico market, specifically Santa Fe.
Bank7 Corp has agreed to acquire all outstanding common stock of Century Financial Services Corporation in a cash-and-shares transaction valued at approximately $137.3 million. The deal is designed to expand Bank7’s geographic footprint into New Mexico, adding a longstanding core deposit base to its existing operations in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas.
Upon completion, the combined entity will hold roughly $3.3 billion in total assets. Bank7 stated that the purchase represents a disciplined use of surplus capital, choosing an acquisition over alternatives such as share buybacks, dividends, or organic expansion to enter the Santa Fe market.
Legacy Deposit Base Adds Scale
Century Bank, founded in 1887, is the second-largest bank headquartered in New Mexico. As of June 30, 2026, the institution reported total assets of $1.36 billion, total deposits of $1.23 billion, and gross loans of $845 million. The acquisition brings in a $1.2 billion core deposit franchise, which will be integrated into the combined company’s funding base.
The bank operates eight branches within New Mexico and maintains two loan production offices in Dallas and Houston, Texas. Century Bank CEO Max Myers described the partnership as an opportunity to enhance the presence of both institutions in the Southwest, aiming to create a more robust banking structure for customers and communities.
Brand Continuity and Market Entry
Bank7 intends to retain the Century Bank name and brand image following the transaction. The strategic move provides Bank7 entry into the New Mexico market, with a specific focus on the Santa Fe region. This expands the company’s current Southwest operations, which are centered in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas.
Transaction Structure and Capital Use
Under the agreed terms, Bank7 will acquire all of Century’s outstanding common stock. Century Financial Services will merge into Bank7, which will remain the surviving entity, and Century Bank will subsequently merge into Bank7. Bank7 CEO Thomas Travis noted that the transaction leverages excess capital to build on Century’s relationship-driven banking model, positioning the combined organization to serve more business owners and entrepreneurs.
