American Rare Earths has named Dr. Sanja Miskovic as Chief Technical Advisor to finalize the flowsheet for its Wyoming rare earth project, targeting domestic oxide production.
American Rare Earths has appointed Dr. Sanja Miskovic as its new Chief Technical Advisor. The role is specifically designed to drive process optimization and recovery efficiency as the company progresses the feasibility study for the Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming.
Miskovic’s mandate includes developing the processing flowsheet, refining mineral beneficiation methods, and optimizing hydrometallurgical recovery. These technical steps are critical to achieving the company’s objective of producing separated rare earth oxides at the proposed site, a necessary precursor to integrating these materials into the U.S. supply chain.
Technical Scope of New Role
The appointment focuses on bridging the gap between laboratory testing and industrial implementation. Miskovic will oversee decisions regarding the scaling of processing technology, ensuring that the recovery methods are robust enough for full-scale operations. Her background in pyrometallurgical and thermal processing will inform the specific chemical extraction pathways used to isolate valuable elements from the raw ore.
Expertise in Critical Materials Recovery
Miskovic brings over two decades of experience in minerals and process engineering. She holds a PhD in Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Novex LLC, a downstream metallization partner for American Rare Earths. Her previous work includes scaling technologies from pilot projects to industrial levels, providing a direct pathway for Halleck Creek to move from resource development toward production.
Strategic Goal for Domestic Supply
CEO Mark Wall stated that Miskovic’s focus on recovery directly supports the company’s aim to feed separated oxides into a domestic metallization and magnet supply chain. The strategic intent is to establish a fully integrated U.S. mine-to-magnet ecosystem, reducing reliance on external sources for critical materials required in permanent magnet production.
