American Rare Earths has appointed Dr. Sanja Miskovic as Chief Technical Advisor to oversee process engineering for its Halleck Creek facility.

American Rare Earths (ASX: ARR | OTCQX: ARRNF | ADR: AMRRY) has appointed Dr. Sanja Miskovic as Chief Technical Advisor, effective immediately. The company stated that this addition to the leadership team is designed to accelerate the feasibility study for the Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming.

The role focuses on guiding flowsheet development, beneficiation, and hydrometallurgical recovery. These technical decisions are critical for enabling the production of separated rare earth oxides at the planned processing site, supporting the company's broader objective to establish a domestic U.S. mine-to-magnet supply chain.

Technical Scope and Feasibility Focus

Dr. Miskovic’s primary responsibility involves optimizing process and recovery methods within the current feasibility study. Her work will directly influence the design of the extraction and purification stages required to convert raw ore into commercial-grade separated oxides.

The appointment addresses the need for specialized engineering oversight during the scale-up phase. By managing the transition from laboratory proof of concept to industrial implementation, the company aims to reduce technical risk associated with the planned Wyoming facility.

Decades of Process Engineering Expertise

The new advisor brings more than 20 years of experience in minerals processing and critical materials recovery. Her background spans academic research and industrial development, with a specific focus on energy-efficient mineral liberation and chemical extraction technologies.

Her career includes the design and optimization of process equipment and reactor technologies. This experience covers the full spectrum of mineral value chains, from initial concentration through to metal purification and refining, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the Halleck Creek project.

Dual Role in Metallization Partnerships

In addition to her advisory role, Dr. Miskovic serves as Chief Technology Officer of Novex, American Rare Earths’ downstream metallization partner. She also holds an academic appointment at the University of British Columbia, having received her Ph.D. in Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2011.

This dual engagement aligns with the company’s strategy to integrate upstream mining with downstream processing. The move follows recent appointments aimed at advancing the project toward construction, including new development and commercial officers tasked with supporting Halleck Creek’s operational roadmap.
