Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. has increased its land position in Saskatchewan by staking 20 new claims, driven by positive magnetotelluric survey results that suggest favorable conditions for uranium mineralization.

Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. (CSE: API) has expanded its Otherside Uranium Property in the Athabasca Basin by acquiring 20 additional mineral claims. This move increases the total property size to 26 claims covering 20,443.95 hectares. The company cited promising geophysical data from its Q1 2026 survey as the primary driver for securing the additional land, which was registered on June 22 and August 27, 2026.

The expansion allows Appia to maintain control over key geological features identified in recent surveys. By extending its holdings northwest and southeast of the original property, the company aims to fully assess structural anomalies that may host uranium deposits. This strategic step is part of a broader effort to refine exploration targets before drilling operations commence.

Survey Data Drives Land Acquisition

The decision to stake new claims followed the completion of three lines of the SPARTAN Magnetotelluric survey in the first quarter of 2026. The survey identified geophysical and structural anomalies that the company interprets as an ingress or egress environment, a setting conducive to uranium deposition. While these findings show conceptual parallels to the high-grade McArthur River deposit, Appia notes that comparable mineralization has not yet been confirmed at Otherside.

Strategic Expansion of Exploration Area

The newly acquired claims extend geophysical coverage in both directions from the existing property. This expansion secures areas exhibiting magnetic gradient and intensity variations, which indicate prospective structural features. CEO Tom Drivas stated that the encouraging survey results boost confidence in the property's potential and underscore the value of acquiring surrounding land to protect exploration options.

Preparation for 2027 Drilling Program

The expanded footprint provides Appia with greater flexibility to refine regional geological models. The company plans to conduct ground Magnetotelluric and Ambient Noise Tomography surveys to gather additional data. These results will be integrated into multidisciplinary 3D geomodelling to improve target selection for the planned 2027 drilling campaign. The technical details were approved by Dr. Irvine R. Annesley, a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
