Manhattan Gold Corporation has extended the Jaws gold prospect in Nunavut, Canada. A new 275-metre drill hole confirmed shallow mineralisation. This action pushed the total tested strike length to 1.25 kilometres.

New drill results extend strike length

The latest assays returned 21.34 metres at 1.72 grams per tonne gold. This intercept started at 32 metres downhole. It included a 4.52-metre section grading 4.89 grams per tonne.

This result confirms mineralisation continues beyond the historically tested area. The system remains open for further exploration. Manhattan Gold now holds 1.25 kilometres of confirmed strike at Jaws.

High-grade intercepts exceed historical benchmarks

Recent drilling at Hook Lake has delivered thicker, higher-grade results than past work. One hole returned 41.15 metres at 4.66 grams per tonne gold. This included a 7.62-metre section at 18.67 grams per tonne.

Another hole returned 74.67 metres at 1.61 grams per tonne from 21.34 metres. These figures suggest a substantial gold system may remain untapped at depth. The company is building on a 1980s resource of 3.4 million tonnes.

Pending assays target regional copper and silver

Manhattan Gold has 10 further drill holes with pending results. These include maiden drilling at the Spectre volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit. Historic drilling there hit 10.51 metres at 2.91 percent copper.

Surface sampling at the Lotus target returned up to 16.75 grams per tonne gold. It also showed 2,660 grams per tonne silver. The company raised 4.5 million dollars to fund this exploration program.
