The deal, signed on September 16, secures servers for Quanome's artificial intelligence computing business. Simultaneously, the company reported a board adjustment, replacing a resigning director with a new independent member to maintain Nasdaq compliance.
Compal Deal Secures AI Hardware
Quanome agreed to pay approximately $18.8 million to Compal Electronics for a batch of servers. The financial terms require a 20% upfront payment, with the remaining 80% due before shipment. The hardware is destined for a U.S. data center to expand the company's AI computing capacity.
Board Restructure Maintains Independence
Director Xiaoou Li resigned effective immediately, a move the company stated was unrelated to operational disagreements. Quanome elected Chao Liu as an independent director to fill the vacancy. The board now consists of five members, with a majority independent under Nasdaq rules.
Stock Rebounds From 52-Week Lows
