This move follows the removal of the network from YouTube’s offerings last season, leaving a gap in digital access for supporters outside traditional cable bundles. The new platform, branded as Monumental+, allows users to access local broadcasts without relying on a satellite dish or live TV provider.

The service offers two distinct pricing structures, each with specific limitations on simultaneous viewing. A monthly plan costs $19.99 and restricts users to a single stream in one location. Alternatively, an annual season pass is priced at $179.99, which permits three simultaneous streams within the same household. This trade-off means that while the annual option saves money over time, it is still limited to one physical location, potentially excluding fans who travel frequently or live in separate households.

Broadcast rights define game availability

Subscribers will have access to every regular-season Capitals game that is not exclusively broadcast by a national network such as ESPN or TNT. This includes preseason contests and original programming for other local teams, including the Wizards and Mystics. However, fans must check the schedule before subscribing, as high-profile matches reserved for national audiences will not be available on this platform. Regional access limits apply strictly

This geographic restriction is a standard practice in sports broadcasting to protect local advertising revenue. For fans relocating to a different state, the subscription will not function, creating a significant barrier for those living near but outside the designated footprint.

The puck drop is scheduled for 5 pm, meaning users have roughly ten days to set up their accounts and test their streaming devices. Existing DAZN subscribers can add this package to their current accounts, while new users must create a profile from scratch.
