Rokid Launches No-Code Platform for AI Smart Glasses

Rokid has introduced a new browser-based tool that allows users to create applications for its AI glasses without writing code or owning the hardware, lowering the barrier to entry for a growing developer community.
Rokid, a designer of augmented reality wearables, has launched AIUI Studio to simplify the creation of apps for its AI glasses. The platform was unveiled globally at IFA Berlin 2026 and operates entirely through a web browser. This move aims to make spatial computing development accessible to people who do not have professional programming experience or even possession of the physical device.
The core of the new tool is an AI-native workflow that interprets plain language instructions. Instead of writing complex code, developers describe what they want to build, and the system constructs the application accordingly. This approach significantly reduces the technical skills required to participate in the smart glasses ecosystem, shifting the focus from syntax to idea generation.
Building Apps Without Hardware
A key feature of AIUI Studio is its integrated simulation environment. Developers can test and refine their projects within a digital replica of the Rokid glasses. This capability allows for iterative design and debugging without the need to purchase the hardware immediately. It lowers the initial financial risk for creators exploring the platform.
However, the simulation is not a final replacement for physical testing. Rokid recommends using its Interactive Inview simulator for early stages but insists that final validation must occur on the actual device. This trade-off ensures that optical alignment, latency, and user interface responsiveness are verified against real-world conditions, which a digital model cannot fully replicate.
Advanced Tools for Power Users
For developers who require deeper control over the hardware, the platform offers additional resources. AIUI Code assistance and the AIUI Skills Library provide tools to optimize applications for performance. These features help reduce latency, memory usage, and power consumption, which are critical factors for the efficiency of wearable technology.
