The incident occurred in Khaikhy Village, within Mizoram's Siaha District, involving traders from Myanmar’s Rakhine State and members of the local youth association that manages the checkpoint. According to witnesses, the confrontation began when Rakhine boat operators alleged they were bypassed in the queue for loading goods.
