Damage to historic market infrastructure
A fire broke out in the Shayba market near Central Station. This round structure is a modernist building from the 1970s.
Kyiv Independent reporters confirmed the blaze. Drones also struck the Holosiivskyi, Darnitskyi, and Solomianskyi districts.
Ukrzaliznytsia officials stated that railway infrastructure was hit. One worker was injured during the attacks.
Polish airspace incident near Kaliningrad
A Russian Mi-8 helicopter entered Polish airspace on September 23. It crossed near Braniewo after flying from Kaliningrad.
Polish authorities said the aircraft stayed for 42 seconds. It reached a maximum depth of 300 meters into Polish territory.
Polish fighter jets were scrambled to track the helicopter. The command stated this incident tests air defense readiness.
Warnings about Belarusian territory use
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya warned Russia may use Belarus for new attacks. She called this a real possibility on September 23.
