Poland Warns of Planned Russian Hybrid Strikes on NATO Territory
Warsaw’s leadership has issued a stark warning that Moscow is preparing to stage incidents on the alliance's eastern flank to test collective defense mechanisms.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has cautioned that Russia is planning hybrid strikes using drones or rockets against European nations supporting Ukraine. According to Tusk, the objective is to create incidents that can be dismissed as accidents, thereby paralyzing the political will of NATO members to respond swiftly to an attack on a member state.
The warning comes as tensions rise over recent border incidents and the increasing use of jet-powered drones that are harder for air defenses to detect. Tusk stated that intelligence services from NATO, Ukraine, and the United States have provided specific details indicating a heightened risk of projectiles entering the territory of countries on the alliance's eastern flank.
