Local authorities in Ukraine reported that at least six people were killed and 43 others injured in Russian attacks over the past 24 hours. The strikes, which occurred on September 14, targeted multiple regions simultaneously, with Donetsk Oblast emerging as one of the hardest-hit areas. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 108 drones at various locations across the country. Donetsk Oblast Governor Vadym Filashkin stated that three people were killed and 13 injured in his region. Additional injuries were reported in Sloviansk, Znamenivka, and Spasko-Mykhailivka as the offensive continued into the morning hours.
The State Emergency Service detailed specific damage in Sloviansk, noting that an airstrike damaged three homes. Debris and dry grass ignited in one yard, covering an area of approximately 100 square meters. The agency added that intense drone activity complicated firefighting efforts, with additional first-person-view drone strikes setting a car and an outbuilding on fire.
Strikes Extend Across Southern and Eastern Zones
Beyond Donetsk, significant casualties were reported in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin of Kherson said two people were killed and 14 injured in attacks on his region. Similarly, Governor Ivan Fedorov of Zaporizhzhia reported one death and four injuries following Russian strikes on local infrastructure and residential areas.
In Kharkiv Oblast, Governor Oleh Syniehubov confirmed that five people, including a newborn, were injured. The overnight attack persisted into the late morning, with a drone striking a civilian vehicle around 10 a.m., injuring a 62-year-old man. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast also reported six injuries, with four occurring overnight and two more in the early morning hours, indicating a sustained pattern of aggression across the country.
