This facility is known for producing components used in the production of solid rocket fuel for tactical and ballistic missiles, according to previous Ukrainian military statements. Tolyatti, often referred to as Russia’s Motown, also houses AvtoVAZ, the state-owned automobile manufacturer, highlighting the city’s dual significance in civilian and military supply chains.

In Taganrog, situated on the coast of the Sea of Azov in Rostov Oblast, drones reportedly hit a car manufacturing plant and an airfield near the city. Satellite data from NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System indicated multiple active fires in the area, corroborating visual evidence of widespread combustion. The proximity of Taganrog to the border makes it a frequent target in the ongoing exchange of long-range strikes.

Expanding Scope of Aerial Campaign

These strikes are part of a broader pattern of Ukrainian operations aimed at degrading Russian industrial capacity that supports military logistics.
