Hana Bank has completed the first T+0 settlement in South Korea's foreign-currency bond market by issuing a $100 million digital bond on Euroclear's blockchain platform. With Standard Chartered acting as sole bookrunner, the deal allows institutional investors to trade through existing systems while reducing settlement times from days to hours.

  • Bloomingbit reports that Standard Chartered served as the sole bookrunner for the five-year note, which retains compatibility with Hana Bank's existing Global Medium Term Note program documentation. The bank emphasized that this move is not just about diversifying funding channels but also about swiftly adopting advanced infrastructure to meet global investor demand.
