Bangladesh Gold Price Jumps Tk 1,691 per Bhori

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association raised 22-carat gold prices to Tk 234,621 per bhori, marking the 58th increase this year.
Gold prices in Bangladesh increased by Tk 1,691 per bhori. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association implemented the change at 10:00 AM on Saturday. The new rate for 22-carat gold stands at Tk 234,621 per bhori including value-added tax.
The association cited rising costs for locally sourced bullion as the primary driver. The Standing Committee on Pricing approved the adjustment during its Saturday meeting. Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen signed the official notice confirming the new rates.
Lower Carat Gold Rates Rise
Prices for other gold purities also increased. The cost of 21-carat gold rose by Tk 1,575 to reach Tk 224,065 per bhori. The price of 18-carat gold climbed by Tk 1,301 to Tk 192,397.
Traditional-method gold saw a smaller increase. The price went up by Tk 1,108 per unit. It now costs Tk 157,172 per bhori under the new pricing structure.
Silver Prices Follow Upward Trend
Silver rates adjusted alongside gold. The price of 22-carat silver increased by Tk 117 per bhori. It now sells for Tk 5,132 including tax.
21-carat silver rose by Tk 175 to Tk 4,957 per bhori. The 18-carat variety also increased by Tk 175 to reach Tk 4,257. Traditional silver prices went up by Tk 116 to Tk 3,207.
