Bangladesh Gold Price Jumps Tk1,050 per Bhori

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association reversed three consecutive price cuts by raising rates by Tk1,050 per bhori. The move follows a rise in local pure gold prices.
The price of 22-carat gold in Bangladesh increased by Tk1,050 per bhori. This hike reverses three consecutive rounds of price cuts. The new rate is Tk232,930 per bhori including VAT.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association issued this notice on 12 September. The new price took effect at 10 am. The association cited a rise in local pure gold prices as the reason for the adjustment.
New Rates For All Gold Carats
The new pricing structure applies to all standard carats. 21-carat gold is now priced at Tk222,491 per bhori. 18-carat gold costs Tk191,056 per bhori under the new scheme.
Traditional Sanatan gold is priced at Tk156,064 per bhori. All listed prices include Value Added Tax. Making charges vary based on the specific jewelry design.
Market Volatility In 2026
Gold prices have fluctuated significantly this year. There have been 115 total adjustments in the local market. This count includes 57 hikes and 57 cuts.
The previous adjustment occurred on 11 September. Prices were cut by Tk2,158 per bhori that day. The current hike follows immediately after that reduction.
Silver Prices Remain Stable
Silver prices did not change with this latest gold adjustment. 22-carat silver remains at Tk5,016 per bhori including VAT. 21-carat silver is priced at Tk4,782 per bhori.
18-carat silver stands at Tk4,082 per bhori. Sanatan silver is sold at Tk3,091 per bhori. Silver rates have seen 69 adjustments in 2026 so far.
