The 24-karat gold rate in Delhi stood at 154,410 rupees per 10 grams. This figure reflects a consistent market position as of September 20. The 22-karat variant traded at 141,543 rupees per 10 grams in the same city. These rates serve as the baseline for domestic bullion pricing.

Silver prices were uniform across all six major cities. The rate held at 24,106 rupees per 100 grams. On a kilogram basis, silver cost 2,41,060 rupees. No city-to-city divergence was recorded in the silver market data.

Regional Gold Rate Variations

Chennai recorded the highest 24-karat gold price at 155,120 rupees per 10 grams. Hyderabad followed closely at 154,920 rupees. Bengaluru listed the rate at 154,790 rupees. Mumbai and Kolkata showed lower figures at 154,670 and 154,470 rupees respectively.

The 22-karat gold rates mirrored this geographic spread. Chennai’s 22-karat rate was 142,193 rupees per 10 grams. Hyderabad’s rate was 142,010 rupees. The differences between cities remained within a narrow band of 650 rupees.

Retail Jeweller Pricing Structure

Leading jewellers maintained flat pricing on September 19, 2026. Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds both quoted 14,285 rupees per gram for 22-karat gold. Tanishq set its 22-karat rate at 14,330 rupees per gram. These figures include brand-specific premiums.

For 24-karat gold, Malabar Gold & Diamonds charged 15,584 rupees per gram. Tanishq’s 24-karat rate was 15,633 rupees per gram. The premium for higher purity is consistent across retailers. Procurement costs and regional conditions drive these marginal differences.

Market Drivers and Demand

International gold prices and the US Dollar exchange rate influence domestic costs. Domestic jewellery demand remains a key factor, particularly ahead of the festive season. Retailers in India primarily trade in 24-karat and 22-karat purities. 22-karat gold is preferred for jewellery due to its durability.

GN auto markets/commodities: silver prices data confirms the static nature of the metal. The lack of volatility suggests a balanced supply and demand environment. Investors and consumers are monitoring these stable rates closely. The market awaits further directional cues from global bullion trends.
