Key points

  • Santacruz acquired a 500-tonne-per-day Bolivian mill for 9.2 million dollars to boost silver and zinc processing.

Santacruz Silver Mining finalized the purchase of a 500-tonne-per-day milling facility in Bolivia. The deal costs 9.2 million dollars and adds significant processing capacity to the company's Bolivian operations.

The new plant processes ore from the company's San Lucas subsidiary exclusively. This move frees up space at existing mills for mine development and third-party ore sourcing.

Financial Terms and Timeline

Santacruz paid 4.6 million dollars upfront for the acquisition. The remaining 4.6 million dollars is due on November 8, 2026, after facility handover.

The company expects to commission the facility in the fourth quarter of 2026. Commercial production should begin by year-end with total capital costs near 14 million dollars.

Operational Capacity Expansion

The facility uses two 250-tonne circuits with selective flotation technology. This setup recovers lead and zinc while capturing high-grade silver content efficiently.

Located five kilometers from the Reserva mine, the plant offers logistical advantages. It supports the company's goal of becoming a leading Latin American silver producer.

Stock Exchange Upgrade Details

Santacruz began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange main board on September 21. This move follows a decade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the same ticker.

Atrium Research maintains a Buy rating with a 27 Canadian dollar target price. Streetwise Reports highlighted the strategic value of this vertical integration for the mining firm.
