Bitcoin holds a 42.67 percent share of second transactions, outpacing Ethereum and stablecoins combined. Paybis data shows retail buyers maintain this preference over three years.

Bitcoin accounts for 42.67 percent of second transactions on Paybis. This figure exceeds the combined share of Ethereum and stablecoins by nearly double. The asset retains its position as the primary choice for returning retail buyers.

Data from Paybis covers retail buying behavior from August 2023 to August 2026. The dataset includes 795,141 users who returned after their initial purchase. Bitcoin represented 42.21 percent of first transactions on the platform.

Bitcoin Dominates Repeat Buying Behavior

Bitcoin’s share increased by 0.46 percentage points between first and second purchases. Ethereum rose from 10.39 percent to 10.82 percent. Together, these two assets comprised 53.5 percent of second transactions.

Approximately 70 percent of returning users completed between two and five transactions. Another 22 percent completed six to 20 transactions. Just over 8 percent of users executed more than 20 transactions.

Stablecoins Show Different Usage Patterns

Stablecoin share declined from 15.29 percent to 11.83 percent among second transactions. Tether USDT fell by 4.03 percentage points to 7.23 percent. USDC slipped from 0.83 percent to 0.63 percent.

Paybis attributes this drop to single-use payment behavior. Users often purchase stablecoins for specific transfers rather than repeated investment. USDT on the Tron network bucked the trend, rising to 3.65 percent.

Market Volume Remains Substantial

Paybis processed 1.2 billion dollars in USDT volume in the last 12 months. USDC volume reached 583 million dollars during the same period. These figures indicate high activity despite lower repeat purchase rates.
