Bitcoin ETFs lose $167M after record inflow streak

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $166.8 million in net outflows over two trading sessions. This reversal follows the strongest three-week inflow period of 2026.
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds shed $166.8 million in net outflows across two trading sessions. This withdrawal occurred immediately after the category recorded its strongest three-week inflow run in 2026. The two-day outflow erased approximately 4.4% of the $3.8 billion attracted during the previous positive streak.
Wednesday saw $120.2 million in net outflows, following $46.6 million in withdrawals on Tuesday. This marked the first back-to-back outflow days since a three-day negative run ended on August 14. Farside Investors data confirms the shift in investor sentiment during this holiday-shortened week.
ARKB leads weekly fund withdrawals
The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF recorded the largest single-day withdrawal of $78 million on Wednesday. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF followed with $27.2 million in outflows. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF lost $19.5 million during the same session.
Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust was the only product to attract capital, adding $4.5 million. Across the two-session period, Grayscale’s fund lost $92.7 million total. ARKB and IBIT recorded net redemptions of $69.9 million and $8.8 million, respectively.
Ether and Solana funds reverse course
US spot Ether ETFs attracted $34.7 million on Wednesday after seeing $24.3 million in withdrawals on Tuesday. BlackRock’s ETHB fund led the inflows with $22.9 million. Its ETHA product added $9.7 million to the category total.
Spot Solana ETFs reversed Tuesday’s outflow of $700,000 by attracting $11.2 million on Wednesday. All of Wednesday’s Solana inflows went to Bitwise’s BSOL fund. The two-session total for Solana products stands at $10.5 million in net inflows.
Bitcoin price holds near $78,000
Bitcoin traded near $78,000 on Thursday, down from approximately $79,700 when the earlier inflow data was reported. Ether traded around $2,470, while Solana hovered near $101, according to CoinGecko. Hyperliquid ETFs continued their outflow trend, losing $5.3 million on Wednesday.
