Hyperliquid's HYPE led a broad crypto rally, gaining over 11% while Bitcoin reclaimed the $78,000 level for a third straight day.

Hyperliquid's HYPE rose more than 11% to nearly $89. This was the strongest move among major cryptocurrencies in Asian morning trading on Friday.

Bitcoin traded just below $78,000 after touching $75,972 during U.S. hours. The asset recovered its overnight drop, marking a third consecutive day of gains.

Altcoins outperform major digital assets

Zcash added 8% to roughly $1,472. Solana gained 6% to just above $106, according to CoinDesk data.

BNB and DOGE each increased by about 4%. XRP, ether, and bitcoin all rose by 2% during the same period.

TRX was the laggard among the top movers, rising by less than 1%. The total crypto market value increased by 2% to approximately $2.66 trillion.

Risk appetite drives broad market gains

Equities rose alongside digital assets, reflecting a broader appetite for risk. This occurred one day after the Federal Reserve’s quarter-point rate hike.

Traders are shifting focus toward altcoins despite a subdued altcoin season index. Alex Kuptsikevich of FxPro noted that none of the 40 most liquid coins fell during the period.

NEAR led the broader group with a 30% gain. UNI followed at 26%, while APT rose by 18%.

Bitcoin faces resistance near $82,000

Bitcoin currently faces the upper edge of its established trading range near $82,000. Kuptsikevich expects profit-taking into the weekend to delay any move toward that level.
