The SEC's Innovation Exemption allows regulated venues to issue tokenized U.S. stocks. This enables 24/7 trading on blockchain rails. Three key infrastructure providers stand to gain from this shift.

The SEC's new Innovation Exemption permits regulated venues to issue tokenized versions of U.S. stocks. This rule creates a direct path for 24/7 trading on blockchain networks. Settlement times will decrease significantly under this framework.

Three U.S. crypto infrastructure stocks are positioned to benefit from this regulatory change. Bitgo Holdings, Coinbase Global, and other providers now have clearer compliance pathways. Their business models rely on custody, wallets, and trading rails that support tokenized assets.

Bitgo Holdings targets custody revenue

Bitgo Holdings holds a market cap of US$852.2 million. The company generates approximately US$20.1 billion in security software and services revenue. Of this total, US$12.1 billion comes from the U.S. market and US$8.0 billion from international regions.

The firm operates regulated digital asset infrastructure for moving securities and tokens onchain. Its custody and wallet stack underpins many early tokenization pilots. Analysts note that state-level friction may slow the ramp in subscription and custody revenue. However, the GENIUS Act and OCC charter expand its addressable market.

Coinbase Global leads trading volume

Coinbase Global has a market capitalization of US$45.4 billion. The company generates about US$6.0 billion from data processing services. U.S. operations account for US$5.2 billion of this revenue, while international markets contribute US$1.0 billion.

Coinbase operates a large-scale trading, custody, and wallet platform. It serves consumers, institutions, and developers building onchain applications. The platform already supports the trading and blockchain plumbing required for tokenized stocks. This infrastructure is essential for round-the-clock trading on public blockchains.

Regulatory clarity drives adoption

The SEC's push into tokenized stocks reshapes liquidity and fee structures. Regulated venues can now issue these assets with legal certainty. This reduces compliance uncertainty for institutional investors. The shift moves digital assets closer to traditional financial market mechanics.

According to GN auto markets/crypto, these regulatory changes create new revenue streams for infrastructure providers. Tokenization fees may become a significant component of recurring income. The pace of adoption depends on follow-on rulemaking and client compliance buildouts. These three firms remain central to the evolving digital asset landscape.
