The volume of notes has climbed steadily since late January. The figure stood at 1.156 billion manats on January 30. It reached 1.530 billion manats by August 31.

The total increase from January to September 10 is approximately 601.7 million manats. This amounts to a 52% rise over the eight-month period. The growth rate accelerated in the final months.

Current Interest Rates

Interest rates vary based on the maturity of the notes. The 28-day notes carry the highest rate at 6.26%. The 168-day notes offer the lowest rate at 6.14%.

The 84-day notes are priced at 6.19%. The 252-day notes are priced at 6.24%. These rates reflect the current yield environment for short-term government securities.

Monetary Policy Function

Central bank notes serve as a key monetary policy instrument. They help manage liquidity within the banking system. The central bank uses them to regulate interest rates in the money market.
