Tax relief faces legislative gridlock
Michigan drivers pay $0.70 in taxes per gallon. State leaders have not moved to suspend this levy. Utah, Indiana, and Georgia have already cut or paused their gas taxes.
Senator candidate Rogers urged a full suspension of state and federal taxes. He cited the recent hike from 31 to 51 cents. Lansing officials remain unmoved by these calls for immediate relief.
