SanDisk Shares Jump 2107 Percent on AI Demand

SanDisk stock rose 2107 percent to $1,632.11, reshaping US index composition.
SanDisk shares climbed 2107.79 percent over the past year. The stock reached 1632.11 dollars per share by September 11, 2026. This performance was driven by infrastructure demand for artificial intelligence.
The valuation surge altered broad market index composition. Tech exposure in traditional value funds rose from 11 percent in late 2024 to roughly 20 percent. Morningstar reported this shift in fund allocations.
Revenue growth outpaces shipment volume
SanDisk generated 8.96 billion dollars in revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. This figure represents a 371.6 percent year-over-year increase. Quarterly free cash flow reached 7.083 billion dollars.
Full-year fiscal 2026 revenue totaled 20.248 billion dollars. This marks a 175.3 percent annual increase. Physical bit shipments grew only in the mid-teens percentage range.
Higher NAND flash pricing drove approximately two-thirds of sequential revenue gains. Volume growth from corporate clients contributed to the remainder. The datacenter segment specifically recorded 2.977 billion dollars in quarterly revenue.
Pricing pressure expected to ease
Analysts project NAND pricing expansion will slow to low single digits by late 2026. TrendForce forecasts potential downward price pressure by mid-2027. SanDisk secured new business model contracts to manage these fluctuations.
These contracts cover over half of planned FY27 bit output. They also cover nearly two-thirds of FY28 capacity. Management guided Q1 2027 revenue between 10.30 billion and 10.80 billion dollars.
Index inclusion boosts passive flows
S&P Dow Jones Indices announced SanDisk will join major S&P benchmarks on September 4, 2026. This inclusion secures passive institutional investment flows. The board authorized an expanded 14 billion dollar share buyback program.
Tom Lauricella of Morningstar noted that Apple and Microsoft now resemble value stocks. This classification stems from their relative rankings. The market distortion reflects SanDisk's rapid growth in AI data center memory.
