Her precision cut through the uncertainty, lifting the Eagles to a team total of 301. That placed NCCU second among the eight competing teams, trailing Jackson State by five strokes but holding a twelve-stroke lead over Texas Southern. In a field of thirty-eight players, Carter’s round was not just good; it was decisive, finishing one stroke ahead of Jannel Calixterio of Jackson State.

This trophy marks a new peak for Carter, who has already collected significant honors. Last year, the Black College Golf Coaches Association named her HBCU Freshman Golfer of the Year. She also earned spots on the HBCU All-America and All-Freshman teams, a resume that now carries the weight of a major individual title.

Carter was not alone in her excellence. Three Eagles finished in the top ten, a testament to the team’s consistent depth. Tylah James and Josefina Rendo both carded 76s, tying for seventh place.
