Radiant Logistics Q4 Margin Expansion Drives Stock Rally

Radiant Logistics posted a 19.5% share price increase following Q4 results, driven by significant adjusted EBITDA growth and a debt-free balance sheet entering FY2027.
Radiant Logistics (RLGT) shares climbed 19.5% to US$9.81, a direct market reaction to the company's fourth-quarter financial performance. The stock move decoupled from broader market trends, isolating specific operational metrics that signaled improved profitability. Investors focused on the expansion of adjusted EBITDA and the elimination of net debt, factors that collectively reduced financial risk while enhancing earnings quality for the logistics provider.
The quarter delivered US$261.4m in revenue, marking an 18.5% year-over-year increase. Net income rose 53.2% to US$7.5m, while basic EPS climbed to US$0.16. These figures confirm that the company’s growth is not solely reliant on fuel pass-throughs but is supported by organic volume increases and operational efficiency gains across its freight network.
Quarterly Revenue and EBITDA Growth
Adjusted EBITDA reached US$10.36m in Q4 2026, up 31.6% from US$7.87m in the prior year period. This expansion represents approximately 240 basis points of margin improvement, indicating that the company is successfully leveraging its cost structure against increasing volumes. The organic growth rate of 8% further validates that the revenue uplift stems from core business activity rather than one-off projects or external pricing anomalies.
The margin story is central to the current valuation debate. With full-year adjusted EBITDA at US$36.68m, the company shows a mixed annual picture where Q4 strength offsets earlier periods of pressure. The shift toward higher-quality revenue, evidenced by the EBITDA jump, suggests that Radiant Logistics is moving past the low-margin phase of its operational cycle.
Balance Sheet Strength and Capital Flexibility
Radiant Logistics enters fiscal year 2027 with no net debt, a significant improvement in its capital structure. The company holds an amended US$200m credit facility along with a US$100m accordion option, providing ample liquidity for strategic initiatives. This debt-free position removes a key risk factor and offers management the flexibility to pursue acquisitions or convert agents to owned operations without incurring additional leverage costs.
Technology Adoption and Forward Outlook
Management highlighted the Navegate platform as a key driver of customer retention, noting that one client now coordinates over 1,400 vendors through the system. This SKU-level visibility supports the thesis that technology integration deepens client relationships and creates stickier revenue streams. However, the company maintains a cautious forward outlook, refusing to provide numeric guidance and advising investors to model conservatively due to potential demand volatility.
While Q4 results demonstrate clear margin expansion, full-year adjusted net income fell 18.4%, indicating that operational consistency remains a work in progress. The stock’s 24.5x P/E multiple reflects optimism about these improvements, yet the lack of specific guidance suggests that management views the recovery as fragile. The market’s rally acknowledges the improved Q4 position while pricing in the continued uncertainty of the broader freight cycle.
