Key points

  • Zeo Energy stock rose 42.61% to $0.44 on Tuesday following the announcement of a strategic alliance with Ewyze Corp.
  • The partnership aims to build off-grid microgrids for AI data centers, combining solar, storage, and dispatchable energy sources.
  • Ewyze has developed 1.7 gigawatts of renewable projects and plans to have new infrastructure operational within two to three years.
ZEO

Zeo Energy Corp. (NASDAQ:ZEO) shares climbed 42.61% to $0.44 on Tuesday, driven by a new cooperation agreement with Ewyze Corp. The deal targets the construction of integrated off-grid power and data-center infrastructure, primarily in the United States, to address growing electricity demands from artificial intelligence workloads.

Trading volume spiked to 367.15 million shares, significantly exceeding the 100-day average of approximately 3.83 million shares, according to Benzinga Pro data. This surge reflects investor reaction to the strategy of bypassing traditional utility interconnection delays, a major bottleneck for current data-center developers.

Partnership Targets AI Power Shortages

The collaboration focuses on combining dedicated power systems with data-center facilities. Zeo stated that AI model training and inference require substantial electricity, yet grid connection delays have hindered project timelines. By developing self-contained microgrids, the companies aim to provide reliable power without waiting for utility approvals.

Ewyze Leverages Renewable Experience

Ewyze brings over 18 years of renewable energy development experience, having managed roughly 1.7 gigawatts of projects globally. Its proposed microgrids integrate solar power, battery storage, and dispatchable sources like natural gas or geothermal energy. This hybrid approach allows for continuous operation independent of grid stability.

Operational Timeline And Scope

The companies plan to jointly handle site selection, permitting, engineering, and financing. Projects could begin operating within two to three years, subject to land availability and technical conditions. Zeo will contribute its Sunergy and Heliogen businesses, while Ewyze handles microgrid design, targeting hyperscale customers and data-center operators.
